Kind Of Very Chic

Fingerless mitts or gloves with sideways-cabled cuffs, made scrunchy by dropping stitches between ribs. Wear them with jeans or a little black dress; they’re kind of very chic!

Techniques used include provisional cast on, knitting in the round, cables, chart reading, grafting or optional three needle bind off, picking up stitches, paired increases, and decreasing. Cuff is knit flat, then grafted for a seamless finish; stitches are picked up for the hand. Photo tutorial included for grafting cables.

Instructions included for fingerless mitt and full fingered glove variations. Cabled cuff instructions are in chart form. Other materials needed include 4 dpns or two sets of circulars for grafting, waste yarn, 3 stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle, and stitch holder or additional scrap yarn.
